The word "zombie" in Haitian is "zombi" which means "spirit of the dead." According to Voodoo folklore, a dead person can be revived from a bokor, a sorcerer, or a Voodoo priest. Zombies remain under control of the bokor since they have no will of their own. In popular cultures, zombies were humans with a curtain disease that reanimates the brain after the person dies. Because the human part of the brain wasn't reanimated, zombies are like animals that will eat anybody. Different people have different ideas of zombies. For example, in the movies "Dawn of the Dead (2004)" and "World War Z (2013)," zombies can run. In the tv show "The Walking Dead," zombies can only walk. In my opinion, I think that the idea of zombies was really creative and interesting.
